Funding Partners Who Make the Work Possible:

Our Theory of Change

From individual healing to community transformation.

Inner City Bliss believes healing is both personal and collective. When youth, families, caregivers, and community members have access to culturally responsive, trauma-informed wellness experiences led by trusted practitioners, they develop the skills, relationships, and resilience needed to thrive.

Through mindfulness, movement, restorative practices, nature connection, and community partnerships, we help individuals strengthen emotional wellbeing, deepen connection, and build a sense of belonging. As these practices extend into families, schools, and community spaces, they contribute to healthier environments and more equitable systems of care.

By investing in community leadership and expanding access to healing, we are working toward a future where wellness is a right, not a privilege, and collective wellbeing can flourish across generations.

Mission

Our mission at Inner City Bliss is to create trauma-informed, culturally responsive mindfulness and movement programs for youth, families, and caregivers in historically divested communities, supporting mental and emotional wellbeing while building foundations for long-term healing and systems change.

Vision

We envision a world where wellness is not a privilege but a right, where every young person and adult, regardless of background, has access to healing-centered spaces grounded in culture, dignity, and care. We imagine ecosystems where community-led practitioners thrive, local healing economies are resourced, and mental and emotional wellbeing are centered as collective responsibilities.

Goal

ICB’s goal is to expand access to culturally resonant, trauma-informed mental and emotional health support for youth and families of color. We aim to strengthen intergenerational wellbeing, shift dominant narratives around wellness, and build the infrastructure for long-term community-rooted healing ecosystems, where both care and capital are distributed equitably.

Our Programs in Practice

From one-time workshops to multi-week partnerships, our offerings are designed to be flexible, responsive, and rooted in the unique needs of each community we serve.

ICB Principles of Practice

Our principles reflect the everyday practices and collective care that ground our healing work in intention, relationship, and cultural integrity.

Be Mindful

"I am grounded and present."
Mindfulness is a practice of presence. By grounding ourselves in the moment and releasing distractions, we create space for healing, clarity, and peace. It allows us to respond, rather than react, with care and intention.

Be Grateful

"I am choosing gratitude to reclaim my joy."
Gratitude nurtures connection and hope. By honoring our blessings and the legacies of those who came before us, we build a deeper sense of unity, reverence, and purpose in our healing journeys.

Be Kind

"I am creating spaces of care and connection."
Kindness is a bridge to compassion and collective care. Small acts of kindness ripple outward, creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported, especially in times of vulnerability.

Be Brave

"I am showing up with truth and courage."
Healing takes courage. Whether setting boundaries, sharing your story, or confronting injustice, bravery allows us to break cycles, speak truth, and show up fully.

Be Accountable

"I am leaning into discomfort to transform systems and self."
We grow stronger through honesty, reflection, and repair. Accountability invites us to take responsibility for our impact, learn from harm, and build trust across differences.

Be Love

"I am cultivating love within and around me."
Love is at the core of transformation. Practicing self-love builds confidence and self-worth; sharing love fosters empathy, healing, and possibility. Embodying love allows us to interrupt cycles of harm and cultivate peace within and around us.
