Andre Humphrey

Founder & Executive Director

Andre Humphrey is the Founder and Executive Director of Inner City Bliss (ICB), a healing justice organization based in Oakland, California, that delivers trauma-informed, mindfulness-based programs to youth and families of color. A certified trauma-informed meditation instructor with advanced training from the Niroga Institute (Yoga CYT 300) and Aura Wellness, Andre brings over seven years of experience designing healing-centered programs that integrate mindfulness, movement, and somatic care.

Born and raised in the inner city, Andre’s early experiences navigating poverty, racism, and intergenerational trauma shaped his understanding of the urgent need for culturally responsive mental health support. His work is grounded in the belief that wellness is a form of resistance, and that healing must be accessible, relational, and rooted in community wisdom. Under his leadership, ICB has served over 5,000 Black, Brown, Indigenous, and AAPI youth across the Bay Area, building trauma-responsive ecosystems that prioritize emotional regulation, cultural belonging, and intergenerational resilience.

Andre is a recognized practitioner in the healing justice field and continues to support the expansion of local wellness economies through practitioner-led, community-rooted models of care.
